Hi, dolls!

Back in August, I was gifted the Storm eyeshadow palette from Sleek Makeup and ever since then I have been testing it and I finally have the chance to review it for you guys. I have used Sleek's products before but never tried their eyeshadow palettes, so when I received this palette as a present from my work colleague, I immediately wanted to give it ago and see how the palette performs. For those of you that might not know, Sleek Makeup is a company founded in 1995 in London, created in response to deeper skin tones being under represented in the market. Starting from humble beginnings, Sleek Makeup is now sold in over 50 countries and over 2,500 stores globally. Their main goal has always been to promote inclusivity whilst giving their customers the freedom of expressing themselves.

Sleek MakeUp I-Divine Eyeshadow Palette - Storm

Firstly, I have to say I was super confused when I noticed that this palette is called Storm in the UK but in the US it's named Beautiful Sin. It's the first time I have come across a product from a beauty company that has two different names and I find that super confusing and unnecessary. I have to be honest and also say that this palette when I first looked at it, looked very cheap to me, especially the packaging. I kept thinking that you can buy cheaper stuff for example from Revolution, yet their packaging is way cuter. But of course that has nothing to do with the palette quality and it is just a personal preference, whether or not you like something to be packed in a unique packaging. Personally, for the price, I would expect the packaging to be a little bit more exciting to have, because I find the palette to not stand out comparing to my other palettes.

However, I have to say I was positively surprised when I first applied these eyeshadows on my eyes because their quality is honestly so good, especially when you consider its price range. From the swatches above you can see how pigmented these shadows truly are and the shimmers are just a dream to apply on the eyes. I am very pale and usually I find it hard to wear dark colours (especially shimmers) but this palette really made me realise that it might actually suit my eyes.

SIDE NOTE - I actually just realised that in the first picture of me swatching the first top row, I forgot to swatch the last shimmer. I don't know how I could have possibly missed that one out lol.

Final Thoughts
I am surprised at how good this palette actually performs on my eyes. I honestly expected it to be alright but nothing amazing, yet it turns out to be of very high quality. I would say that for its price, the palette is definitely worth checking out. The only two things I would say that could be changed are: first - the name, the company should stick to one as it makes it easier to find the palette on the internet, and second - the packaging. I think - but this is just my personal opinion - if the packaging was more exciting, it would make the palette stand out more.

Let me know what you think about the Storm palette and if you have tried any of the Sleek Makeup products. What is your favourite product at the moment? As always, thank you for all the support and stay tuned for my next post.

Hi, dolls!
In today's post, I wanted to talk about and review two skincare products that I have been using for a while now. My first two posts on skincare have been insanely popular with you guys, so I will try my best to do skincare reviews more often. If you're interested to find out more about the two No7 products I will be reviewing today, let's get right into the review!

It's so important to take care of your skin, especially from younger ages to keep it healthy and glowing. Even if you have no time for intensive skin care, there are still some basic things that you can do to keep your skin healthy. Firstly, protect your skin from the sun. This can be simply done by applying sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15 on your face, and wearing protective clothes/sunglasses. Secondly, moisturise your skin daily, especially if you have dry skin. Lastly, healthy diet and drinking plenty of water will help to improve your skin and keep it hydrated.

I turn to No7 when it comes to skincare because I trust their products as I only had good experience with it. This time, I wanted to review and tell you guys more about two of the No7 products - the Hydra Luminous Day Cream and the Purifying Foaming Cleanser. For those of you that don't know No7, it is a skincare and cosmetics brand developed by Boots UK which is a beauty retailer, something like Ulta in the US. The brand itself is available in the USA and I think it should also be available in other countries too.

No7 Hydra Luminous Day Cream SPF 15 for Drier Skin

Firstly, I should mention that HydraLuminous Day Cream is actually a replacement for the Beautiful Skin range which No7 did in the past. I really enjoyed using the Beautiful Skin facial cream, so I was worried this wouldn't be as good but I still decided to give it a chance. After testing it for 3 weeks, I can honestly say that this day cream is actually much better than the Beautiful Skin range I've used before. It keeps my face hydrated throughout the entire day and my skin never had bad reactions to it. A lot of negative feedback online claimed that the applicator breaks easily etc. but I think it works just fine. If you have dry skin or simply need extra moisture, try this cream out! Plus, it has SPF 15 which adds extra protection to your skin!

Radiant Results Purifying Foaming Cleanser
£9.50/$8

Now, this foaming cleanser and I have a love/hate relationship. When I first started using this product my skin felt super smooth and I was obsessed, however after a week of constant use, I started noticing small spots on my face and the more I used it, the more breakouts it caused to my face. I decided to stop using it as my skin was getting worse and I haven't used it since. I know that not everyone will react badly to it but I just simply cannot recommend this product to anyone. Although I seem to be enjoying all No7 products, this is one I would never reach for again.

Hope you have enjoyed this skincare post, there will be more coming soon, so definitely stay tuned for it! Let me know down in the comments if you have ever tried any of the No7 products and if so, which products was it? xo

Hi, dolls!

I'm coming back to you with another review of Huda Beauty lashes, this time created in collaboration with Jacqueline Fernandez. My first review on Huda's lashes focused on the collab with Olivia Culpo, which you can read about by clicking HERE, however it was Jacqueline that was the first one to collaborate with Huda on pair of lashes. The pair of lashes were inspired by Jacqueline's natural yet glamorous beauty, resulting in soft, sultry volume in a double-stacked classic lash. These lashes suit every eye shape and grant daytime drama without looking overly faux.

Before I start the review I wanted to inform you guys that once again, I was gifted the PR box for these lashes from someone who receives PR from Huda Beauty, however I had to buy the pair of lashes myself to insert into the box. Sadly, I am not on her PR myself, however fingers crossed one day my blog and I get noticed by Huda & her team!

Classic Lash - Jacqueline #20

Huda Beauty joined forces with Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez to introduce the first Huda Beauty's lash collab. For a while now, Huda has been collaborating with different women to bring the perfect lashes for her customers, and so far there are four collabs, Jacqueline's being first and Olivia's, which I have already reviewed - read HERE - being the second one. The fact that each pair of lashes sold by Huda Beauty has its own unique name is what I like the most because sometimes seeing your name on a product that you use can make it even more exciting and also gifting it becomes more personal.

Jacqueline #20 lashes are universally flattering, with layered eyelashes of varying lengths on an invisible cotton band, to achieve medium volume and a feathery, fluttering look. They are soft, romantic and infinitely wearable. The lashes are made from synthetic fibres and cotton.

Huda's tips to apply the lashes:

1. Carefully remove the lash and wiggle to loosen the band.

2. Measure the lash to your eye and trim the excess from the outer end.

3. Coat the entire band with glue and wait 15 seconds.

4. Apply the lash as close as possible to your lash line.

5. Apply mascara to blend & eyeliner to perfect the look.

I am so in love with Huda's PR boxes! I wish more brands sold their items in their PR boxes as that would make the products for their customers even more special. Unfortunately, you can only purchase these lashes on its own without this gorgeous box, so I am beyond grateful to have these lashes with the box to review for you guys.

Final Thoughts
Huda Beauty makes one of the best quality lashes I have ever tried. The Jacqueline #20 lashes look super natural and aren't too heavy on the eyes, they remind me so much in lightness to the Olivia #18 lashes which I also love and am obsessed with. Although these lashes seemed too long for me and I had to trim a lot off the edges to fit it with my eyes, once applied they make your eyes look super natural. What I love about these the most is that you can wear them with no makeup on for a very natural look or you can pair it up with any dramatic makeup and it would still give you the best looking results.

Tell me what you think about these lashes or any other lashes by Huda Beauty and let me know down in the comments which ones are your favourites! I love Jacqueline lashes but Olivia lashes, the shortie ones, are still my number one to go for. Can't wait to read what lashes you guys love the most, so definitely leave a comment below.

Hi, dolls!

Today, instead of doing another beauty-related blog post, I decided to talk to you about a diet which I have recently started and share my experience with you. Many of you asked me on twitter to share my thoughts on the diet on my blog, therefore I decided to put it all into one post and share all the important information with those of you that are interested and want to find out more about the Keto Diet.

What is Keto?
The Ketogenic diet is a high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet that in medicine is used primarily to treat epilepsy. While you eat far fewer carbohydrates, you increase your intake of fat. The reduction in carb intake puts your body in a metabolic state called ketosis, where loads of your fat is burned for energy. The Ketogenic diet is pretty simple, as you eat mostly healthy fats which turns to be 75/70% of your daily calories, some protein which is 20% of your daily calories and a very small amount of carbs which is around 5% of your daily calories count. This is the usual breakdown that a lot of Keto beginners follow, but you may have to adjust these numbers to see what works best for you and your body.

What made me start the diet?
For a long time I have been wanting to go on a diet that will actually work for me and at the same time make me enjoy it. None of the diets I've tried before worked - I either gave up too early or cheated to the point I stopped the diet. I read a lot about Keto before going on it and researched it for around 2 months before actually making the decision to start it. I feel like I lacked the motivation to actually start it until one day where I woke up and decided to give it a go. It was pretty random I must say to feel so motivated all of the sudden but the great news is that ever since the day (03/10/19) I have been on it and it's been very successful for me, but will go into more detail about it in a bit. Last year has been very stressful to me and I've gained a lot of weight because I turned to food every time I felt bad or simply because with work and uni life, I basically lived in my car and having to travel so much on a daily basis made me turn to fast foods and takeaways as I had no time to eat any properly cooked meals. This year after graduating I promised myself to find the motivation and finally take care of my body to finally start being happy about it.

My Experience with Keto
I have to say that so far my experience with Keto has been sooo good! I love this diet because although there are many restrictions with what I can eat, I still get to eat some of the stuff I would normally eat, so it's not too bad! I try and not weight myself as often because for me it's not only to lose weight but it's also to feel good with myself, which I started to do recently. However, in one month, I have lost 1 stone (14 pounds/7kg) which I am very happy with! I'm not a professional and I don't know much about diets, so I'm not sure whether or not losing 1 stone in a whole month is a good result, but for me it is. I struggled a lot in the past to lose any weight, and on my previous diet I only managed to lose 3kgs in one month, so this diet definitely has surprised me positively and these results motivated me to keep going even more.

How long should you be on Keto for?
Firstly, to start off your diet the right way, it takes around 2-5 days for your body to enter ketosis and for the diet to begin properly. So, although you cut off carbs from your life on day 1 of your diet, it takes around 5 days to enter ketosis as this is usually the amount of days your body keeps the carbs you have previously eaten for. Some people may find that they need a week or longer to enter ketosis as it varies depending on factors such as your age, your metabolism, exercise level and current carb/protein/fat intake. Once you start your diet, there isn't really a time that tells you when to stop it. I read that in some cases people carry it on for 8 weeks and take a break and in other cases people just stay on the diet forever as its proven to benefit your health. I think it all depends on what you would like to gain with the diet, and of course it's important to remember that once coming off the diet, it is very easy to gain back the lost weight if we turn towards carbs too quickly again.

Most important rule on Keto
Most important rule on the Ketogenic diet is to NOT cheat the diet. Although having a cheat day in other diets is usually okay, cheating in the Keto Diet is impossible. This is because if you intake carbs for one day, your body will store them for longer than you think, therefore you would have to wait another week to go back to ketosis and it's really just a very long process to cheat and get back on. Plus, cheating Keto will definitely make the results worse, so just stick to it once you decide to go on it. I must say at first it was really hard to give up sugar and carbs, but once you get into ketosis, you stop craving it. I always thought what they say about carbs and sugar making you crave it more was total bullcrap but I realised it's totally true. Ever since I cut off carbs and sugar from my diet, I never once in the month craved any of those two. Also, I started to get full on less but I did become more thirsty and find myself drink more water now than ever. I would say, if you really really need to have something close to a cheat-day, turn to Coke Zero or one piece of cheesecake, because both either have zero or very small carbs count that can become your cheat meals but at the same time keep you in the ketosis state and not lose your progress.

What should I eat on Keto?
There are so many Keto-friendly foods out there.
Here's some of them:

- Berries
- Avocados
- Olives
- Tea/Coffee without Sugar
- Low-carb veggies
- Cheese
- Meat and Poultry
- Fish
- Seafood
- Eggs
- Butter
- Coconut Oil
- Dark Chocolate
- Cocoa Powder
- Olive Oil
- Greek Yoghurt/Natural Yoghurt
- Cottage Cheese
- Cheese
- Nuts and Seeds

My Keto advice to you
Lastly, my advice to those of you that want to try Keto Diet or are already on it but want more information - get an app that tracks what you eat in the day and make sure to be very honest with it. It will count your carbs, protein and fat intake and you will know what you are allowed to eat for the day and in how many portions. I found that to be very helpful for me and it taught me many things such as I can still go and enjoy a Big Mac in McDonald's as long as I eat it without the bun. Who said Keto isn't fun? There are so many fun recipes that you can follow on Keto and find alternatives to your favourite carbs that will make you enjoy the diet and not feel like you just want to end it or cheat.

Final Thoughts
I honestly really enjoy the diet and I am so happy that I decided to give it ago. Having an app that tells me what I can or can't eat was very helpful to me in the beginning because it counts my carbs intake for the day and I know when to stop and what not to eat to not ruin my diet. I still eat fun things such as Big Macs (without the bun), drink Coke Zero or eat cheesecake (one or two pieces max!) because as long as you control your carb intake you can still be smart and eat good on it as well as lose weight. Lastly, be patient and only go on a diet or carry on with one that makes you happy and never force yourself to go on a diet that you are not ready for!

I hope that you enjoyed this post, I normally never post about anything other than beauty related stuff but many of you asked me on twitter to talk about the diet on my blog, so I hope I answered some of your questions in here. Please remember that I am not a dietitian or a doctor and I was simply informing you about my experience with the diet, so if there is anything you don't agree with, I simply stated what has worked for me based on my research. Good luck to any of you that are thinking of starting this diet or any other. Let me know in the comments what your thoughts are on the Ketogenic diet and if you are on any diets are the moment! xo

Hi, dolls!

In today's post I will be reviewing an eyeshadow palette created by a Polish makeup company in collaboration with Amelia, an influencer/makeup artist. I thought it would be very interesting to start focusing on beauty products that are produced in countries other than the UK/America and review them on my blog. This is something I am looking forward to do more often, so let me know down in the comments if you would be interested in reading about more beauty products from all around the world which are not necessary known in the UK and America. I decided to start this series of posts with a Polish company, because as many of you might not know - I am Polish myself. I lived almost my whole life in the UK but I feel very connected to my home country and whenever I visit, I love to check out their beauty products that are not available in here.
Let's get into the review!

As mentioned, today I will be focusing on the collaboration between Amelia Szczepaniak and Pierre Rene. Pierre Rene is a 30 year old cosmetic brand with over 300 cruelty-free products to choose from. The company is a family run business which was started in Poland and the founder, Henryk de Lubicz Szeliska designed Pierre Rene to give women access to affordable professional cosmetics packaged in highly aspirational manner. Pierre Rene are now the No.1 cosmetic brand in most Eastern European countries and are expanding their business into Western Europe. They have collaborated with Amelia Szczepaniak, who is a beauty influencer, with almost 280K followers on instagram. Their collab includes the Pinch Me palette, Shine Me contouring palette and two pairs of lashes. I decided to only get the eyeshadow palette and test it out as the other products didn't catch my eyes as the eyeshadow palette did.

€22.50/£19/$25

Firstly, this eyeshadow palette looks so beautiful. When I first saw it, I immediately wanted to order it because the colours stood out for me and I knew I can create so many looks with it. Also, I am obsessed with anything green so the shade 'Touch Me' was calling my name from beginning. At the time when I was placing my order, there was a promo going on so instead paying £19, I paid £15. They ship to almost every country, however I do suggest checking if your country is on the list before placing an order just to ensure you will receive it. Pinch Me palette is described as Amelia's very personal eyeshadow palette as she wanted to create something that would allow us to create amazing and diverse makeup looks for both daytime and the evening. The palette consists of 7 shiny shimmer shadows (top row) and 7 matte shadows (bottom row).

As you can see from the swatches above, all shadows are pigmented and swatched very easily on my hand. The shimmer shadows are my favourites from the whole palette, however I do think they pop up better once applied on top of a glitter primer or a white concealer. The mattes are creamy and blendable but leave fall out which I know not many people like for their palettes to do. I do think the mattes are pigmented, maybe not as super pigmented as Anastasia's or Huda's eyeshadows but for the price, I am not mad! It's a good pigment that shows on the eyes, and because they are so easy to work with it made my experience with the palette even more positive. The only shadow I seemed to have trouble with was 'Bite Me' as it doesn't show its pigment as nicely on the eyes as it does on the hand swatch. Honestly, I thought it would be the shadow 'Hate Me' that I would dislike the most as most black shadows don't perform well on the eyes but it actually does a very nice job!

Final Thoughts
Overall, I think the palette performs very nicely for its price and I am very happy that a Polish company together with a Polish influencer were able to produce such a good quality palette that now I am able to recommend to you guys to check out. I am very happy that the first beauty product I reviewed for this series ended up performing so good and now I am even more excited to try out beauty products from other countries! Although not everyone might like to get a palette from a company they are not familiar with, I can honestly recommend it to everyone that would like to try out something new and maybe not as known.

I hope you all enjoyed this review and let me know what you think of the Pinch Me palette and if it's something you would like to try out for yourself. Also, let me know down below which country you are from as I would love to check out beauty products from other countries and test them out for this series! As always, thank you for all the support and stay tuned for more posts!
