Wishful Honey Balm Jelly Moisturiser Review

Hi, dolls!
In today's post, I wanted to focus on the new Wishful Honey Balm Jelly moisturiser. Wishful is a skincare brand introduced to us by Huda from Huda Beauty and so far, Wishful has launched 6 products, including Yo Glow exfoliator (read my review here) and two face masks (read my review here). I decided to try out their moisturiser because I heard a lot of mixed opinions on it and wanted to test it out for myself. If you're interested to find out more about it, let's get right into the review!

This post may contain affiliate links meaning that if you click on the link and purchase the item, I will receive an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. However, my reviews/opinions on products are always 100% honest and I'll only recommend items that I love!

A luxuriously textured jelly-meets-balm moisturiser infused with honey to lock-in moisture for up to 24 hours and soothe the skin. It's packed with moisturising honey, the addition of turmeric root extract helps minimise the appearance of hyperpigmentation while Niacinamide brightens and visibly reduces the appearance of pores. The soothing lavender scent creates a relaxing and calming moment to enhance daily skincare routine. Suitable for all skin types, dull and dehydrated skin. The moisturiser is cruelty-free, non-acnegenic, non-comedogenic and clean beauty.

At first, I wasn't planning to get this moisturiser as I prefer to use moisturisers with spf in it, especially to use during the day. However, after Huda released her Xmas gift sets, I ended up getting this in the mini size which I think it's a great deal money wise. I find the moisturiser to have a luminous finish which leaves my skin with a nice glow and feeling super soft. However, the moisturiser doesn't really soak into your skin but rather hydrates it while sitting on top of it. For this reason, I find it difficult to keep this on during the day because it becomes messy once you try applying makeup and I find it to work best during my night skincare routine. The lavender scent is okay for me, however seeing as this is a Honey Balm moisturiser, I actually expected it to smell like a honey - I think that's the scent I would very much prefer.

Main Ingredients
  • Honey - Known to add and lock in moisture and soothe skin.
  • Lavender Oil - Known to calm, soothe and relax.
  • Niacinamide - Known as Vitamin B3, it visibly reduces the appearance of pores and uneven skin tone.
  • Turmeric Root Extract - Known to soothe skin, reduce dark spot, and even skin tone.

Final Thoughts
I'm happy that this moisturiser can be found in Huda's Xmas gift sets because this is a great way to try out this product without buying the full-size, which many can find to be expensive. Although Wishful recommends us to use this product twice a day, it's difficult to do so if you want to apply makeup on top of the moisturiser, as it doesn't really go well together. Therefore, I find myself only using this at night and even though this moisturiser works great and leaves my skin feeling super soft and hydrated, I personally wouldn't buy the full size product simply because the travel size is more than enough for me. I also wouldn't recommend this product to anyone with oily skin because you will probably find it to be super greasy on your face. Overall, I have enjoyed testing this product out as it hasn't irritated my skin in any way and I did see the benefits of it but not being able to use it in the morning before applying makeup can be annoying.

  1. I've spent years looking for a moisturiser that stop my skin being dry, but I've yet to find one, I even wrote an article about it out of frustration. You said the 4 mains ingredients are know to do the things they claim they do, but is there any peer reviewed support for that or is that based on the compaines own unscientific "studies"?

  4. This sounds like a great moisturiser, I haven't tried anything from Wishful yet, I was loving the sound of this but lavender really irritates my skin so I'll have to try something else from the brand instead x

    1. They've done a mini version of this in a gift set, so it's a good way to test it out before buying full-size. They do have other amazing products like the Yo Glow Enzyme scrub! xo

  7. I've heard of this brand before but since i've got oily skin, I may give this a pass haha. Totally agree with you about travel sized products. I never finish anything and I love buying cute sets so I don't mind smaller sizes.

    1. I think it's because it's a balm, that's what makes it difficult. xo

  9. I agree - this would smell better if it had a honey scent. I'm not sure if my skin would like a balm too, too slippery in my head

  12. I recently tried the Wishful Honey Balm Jelly Moisturizer, and it has quickly become a staple in my skincare routine. The texture is tri luma crema luxurious, and it feels incredibly hydrating on the skin. The honey-infused formula gives it a unique touch, leaving my skin feeling soft and nourished.

The lightweight jelly consistency makes it easy to apply, and it absorbs quickly without any greasy residue. I've noticed a significant improvement in the overall hydration of my skin since incorporating this moisturizer into my daily routine.
