Hi, dolls!
After receiving an amazing bundle of makeup from Maybelline, I decided to split it up into couple of reviews. Today, I wanted to talk about Maybelline's Falsies Lash Lift Mascara and their Falsies Lash Overnight Conditioning Mask. If you're interested to find out more, let's get right into it!

This post may contain gifted products and affiliate links meaning that if you click on the link and purchase the item, I will receive an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. However, my reviews/opinions on products are always 100% honest and I'll only recommend items that I love!

Maybelline Falsies Instant Lash Lift Mascara
£9.99/$6.99

Maybelline's double curved lifting brush and fiber-infused formula grabs lashes at the root to lift, thicken and lengthen. No clumps, smears, or flakes, just volume that lasts all day. It has been ophthalmologist tested and it's suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lenses.

I am very impressed with this mascara! It performs better than I expected, the lash lift effect is clearly visible and I love how my lashes look when I apply this mascara. The mascara stays on for the entire day without smudging, there are no clumps or flakes and the effect lasts all day. You don't need more than one coat of this mascara but of course you can apply more if you wish to do so. However, I do find that one coat is enough for me to give my eyes the full, instant lash lift effect. This is a mascara I definitely see myself repurchasing because it's not only super affordable but also it does a great job!

Maybelline Falsies Instant Lash Lift Mascara
£9.99/$6.99

Maybelline's Falsies Lash Lift Mask is described as a mask that conditions and cares for stressed out lashes due to heavy mascara usage, extensions etc. It's enriched with Kera and Argan Oil.

I have been applying this lash mask on every night and to be quite honest, I haven't really seen any results. I think this lash mask will work best for those of you that are getting regular lash extensions or other lash treatments because it has great ingredients to keep your lashes feel healthy and stronger. I really love the scent added to this product, I can't quite explain it but it's really enjoyable. However, I still plan to use this mask on my lashes to give them that extra care.

Final Thoughts
I'm very thankful to Maybelline for gifting me their makeup products including the Falsies Lift Mascara and the Falsies Lash Mask. Out of the two, I definitely love the mascara more. It became my favourite drug store mascara I can see myself repurchasing because the effect is really great. I do still enjoy using the lash mask, especially because it has the nicest scent added to it but I definitely think it's a great mask for those of you that get regular lash extensions and want to give your lashes that extra care.

Have you tried any of the two products before? What's your favourite Maybelline product?

Hi, dolls!
Anyone else looking forward to the weekend? I can't wait to be off work to schedule new posts for the next couple of weeks. I know I haven't been as active lately but I was still testing so many products behind the scenes and I'm so ready to share my reviews with all of you!

This post may contain gifted products and affiliate links meaning that if you click on the link and purchase the item, I will receive an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. However, my reviews/opinions on products are always 100% honest and I'll only recommend items that I love!

Today, I wanted to do another fragrance review, this time reviewing the YSL Libre Eau de Parfum. YSL has kindly gifted me some of their goodies and the Libre fragrance was one of them. You can definitely look out for more YSL reviews coming soon! If you're interested to find out more about the Libre fragrance, let's get right into it!

YSL Libre Eau De Parfum
50ml £80/$106
100ml £104/$132

Libre is the fragrance of Freedom by Yves Saint Laurent. The French word for 'free' pays tribute to YSL's most defining and enduring value: Freedom. Freedom to be yourself. Freedom of choice. Freedom to live everything to the full. Libre is a grand floral fragrance described as the burning sensuality of the orange blossom flowers, twisted with the aromatic boldness of lavender.

Top Notes: Lavender, Mandarin Orange, Black Currant, Petitgrain
Middle Notes: Lavender, Orange Blossom, Jasmine
Bottom Notes: Vanilla, Musk, Ambergris, Cedar

Libre has to be the one of the stronger fragrances in my collection. It's the type of scent you only need to spray once or twice because it's very strong and powerful at first. When I first smelled it, it almost reminded me of a typical men's fragrance. The opening of Libre gives me a burst of the Mandarin Orange, Orange Blossom and Jasmine. As it settles, it becomes softer and you start to smell its bottom notes of Vanilla, Musk and Cedar. In my opinion, Libre could be seen as a unisex scent, it's very sharp and masculine. However, once it dries down it becomes much softer due to the Vanilla and Musk.

The bottle of the fragrance is sharp and elegant, embellished by the legendary YSL logo. It definitely makes a statement as it's eye catching and looks super luxurious. I would say it stands out from my other fragrances because it has that unique touch added to it. Even if I wasn't reaching out for this fragrance a lot, I would still like to have it in my collection because of how gorgeous the bottle is!

Libre is an Eau de Parfum. EDP has the highest concentration of fragrance - generally having a fragrance concentration of between 15% and 20%. On average, eau de Parfum should last from four to five hours, if not more. This differs from Eau de Toilette which has a fragrance concentration of between 5% and 15%. Eau de Toilette is definitely one of the most popular types of fragrance and it's definitely cheaper than eau de Parfum but it will normally only last for two to three hours. I find Libre to be very long lasting and although I like to re-apply my fragrances often, I don't think you need a lot of it.

Final Thoughts
Although I wasn't the biggest fan of Libre when I first tried it in the shops, it now started to grow on me. I do like it, however if you're sensitive to heavy scents I wouldn't spray too much of this fragrance as at first, it can easily cause headaches. I see myself wearing it on a night out or to a meeting, it's very classy and elegant. I like the softer side of this fragrance once it dries down when the Vanilla and Musk become more apparent. I wouldn't recommend blind buying Libre, it's a fragrance you should smell before hand but it's a beautiful one for sure, one that will help you make a statement.

Let me know your thoughts on Libre down below. What's your favourite YSL fragrance? Once again I wanted to thank YSL for gifting me Libre and some of their other goodies! I'm super excited to test them all out and review. You can find a sneak peak of the products over on my Instagram. (@oliviaaandbeauty) xo

Hi, dolls!
In today's post, I wanted to review the new Chocolate Brown Obsession palette by Huda Beauty. If you're interested to find out more, let's get right into it!

Huda Beauty Chocolate Brown Obsession Palette
£27/$29

Huda's new Brown Obsessions mimic the dreamy tortoiseshell design that Huda is obsessed with. Effortlessly easy to master, these sumptuously pigmented palettes feature delectable finishes in complementary tones that look ravishing on every skin tone. Velvety smooth powders, intense metallics, buttery marble cream shimmers and an irresistible new pearl flake texture give you creative freedom to playfully shade, highlight and define the eyes.

The Chocolate Brown Obsession is a modern edit of milk and dark chocolate mattes blended with decadent fudge metallics, sprinkles of brown sugar and berry shimmers.

Out of the Brown collection, I ended up reaching for the Chocolate palette because it looked the most unique to me. I truly enjoy Huda's mini palettes and their formula, so I already knew this palette was going to be amazing. I wasn't wrong! The shadows are super pigmented and easy to blend on the eyes. I didn't really struggle with swatching any of the dark shades and they perform really nice. As with all Huda's shimmery shadows, I prefer to apply them using my fingers rather than brushes as it gives way better results. I am really happy I picked up this palette and although the other two looked similar to Huda's previous palettes, Chocolate Brown Obsession looks very unique and it's a great addition to my collection!

I hope everyone is doing well! Let me know down below your thoughts on the new Huda Beauty mini palettes, I'd love to see your opinions on it! xo

Hi, dolls!
As previously mentioned, Lancome was kind enough to gift me some of their fragrances and their classic La Vie Est Belle was one of the scents I was sent. Since I wanted to try and review the new LVEB Soleil Cristal, I decided to review them together and compare. If you're interested to find out more, let's get right into the review!

This post may contain gifted products and affiliate links meaning that if you click on the link and purchase the item, I will receive an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. However, my reviews/opinions on products are always 100% honest and I'll only recommend items that I love!

Lancome La Vie Est Belle
50ml £78/$100

La Vie Est Belle by Lancome was launched in 2012 and it's a Floral Fruity Gourmand fragrance. I think this fragrance is such a classic that everyone has at least smelled it once in their life. The opening gives me a burst of pear and black currant and as it settles, I start to smell the jasmine. It has praline, vanilla, patchouli and tonka bean in it's base notes, so it comes to no surprise that this is a very sweet scent.

Top Notes: Black Currant, Pear
Middle Notes: Jasmine, Iris, Orange Blossom
Bottom Notes: Praline, Vanilla, Patchouli, Tonka Bean

La Vie Est Belle is a familiar scent which is normal seeing as this is a well known fragrance. It's sweet and warm and very long lasting. This fragrance has an excellent sillage, you can always tell if someone is wearing it. However, because it's so known and almost everyone I know uses it, it's no longer as unique to me as it once was. I personally don't reach for it as much as when it was first released but I still think it's a beautiful scent!

Lancome La Vie Est Belle Soleil Cristal
50ml £78/$100

The newest La Vie Est Belle addition, LVEB Soleil Cristal is a Chypre Floral fragrance launched in 2021. In my opinion, it's so different than the original LVEB and definitely not as sweet. I think that's the reason I love it so much. The bottle is so unique and beautiful and it made me want this fragrance before I even smelled it.

Top Notes: Pink Pepper, Mandarin Orange, Bergamot
Middle Notes: Ylang-Ylang, Iris, Orange Blossom, Jasmine
Bottom Notes: Coconut, Patchouli, Vanilla

I don't really smell the top notes of this fragrance, I immediately start to smell a beautiful mix of Ylang-Ylang, Iris, Jasmine, Vanilla and Coconut and as it settles, the coconut and vanilla become even more apparent. It's the perfect scent for summer, although I can see myself wearing it all year round. You either like coconut or you don't. If you do, you'll enjoy this scent as much as I did. I think I'd buy this bottle even if I didn't like the scent simply because it's so unique and gorgeous!

Final Thoughts
Out of the two, I personally prefer the Soleil Cristal version, however I think the original La Vie Est Belle is a safer blind buy from the two. Don't get me wrong, I love the original but I've been smelling it for as long as I can remember and it's no longer the scent I'd reach for. When it comes to the Soleil Cristal, I really like the added Coconut note. It makes the scent perfect for summer and once you smell it, you can literally imagine yourself at the beach. I'd say go for the newest version if you like coconut in your fragrances and reach for the original if you prefer sweeter and much warmer scents.

I wanted to say big thank you to Lancome once again for gifting me their La Vie Est Belle fragrance! I really enjoyed comparing the two scents together. Let me know down below in the comments which of the two you'd prefer - I'd love to see what you guys think! xo
