Huda Beauty Legit Lashes Double-Ended Mascara & Life Liner Review

Hi, dolls!
In today's review, I wanted to review the new Huda Beauty double-ended Legit Lashes mascara and her Life Liner. Huda has recently launched a new mascara which has two formulas and two brushes and I knew I had to test it for you guys! You can purchase the two in a bundle on her website (saving £6) which I did and if you're interested to learn more about the two, let's get right into the review!

This post may contain affiliate links meaning that if you click on the link and purchase the item, I will receive an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. However, my reviews/opinions on products are always 100% honest and I'll only recommend items that I love!

Legit Lashes mascara is a long-lasting, matte black, dual-ended mascara that is meant to deliver major volume, dramatic curl and insane length without weighing down your lashes. The mascara is meant to last 12 hours on your eyes. It features two full size mascaras in one dual-ended pack with ultra-black formulas that are clinically proven to volumes, lengthen, curl and lift lashes. Legit Lashes mascara glides smoothly onto your lashes for an even, buildable and clump-free application.

I had my doubts before picking up this mascara because every mascara I go for has to be waterproof. In the end, I decided to give this mascara a go and I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the two formulas and two brushes in one because you can pick and choose which side to use or use both in one go. I did notice my lashes to look longer and much more visible than when I don't wear mascara. The mascara also definitely didn't make my eyelashes feel clumpy or sticky and instead made my lashes look fuller and defined. I was worried that as the day goes by and my eyes start to tear up a little bit, the mascara would smudge but it didn't, which surprised me as it's not waterproof.

Life Liner is the ultimate life proof, dual-ended eyeliner with a liquid tip one side and pencil on the other. It's very long-lasting as the liquid side has up to 48 hours wear and is both waterproof and smudge proof. It's super matte and super black and very hard to remove. Huda has launched a special balm remover for this eyeliner as only certain types of makeup removers will remove it. For this reason, I would definitely recommend having a balm remover such as Huda's Cleansing Butter because otherwise this product will be a pain to remove.

I love eyeliner, so I was really excited to give this one a go. Although I prefer a pen eyeliner, I can also do a good job with a liquid tip too. The liquid side of the eyeliner is very intense and super black which can be a big pain to remove. I made sure to have Huda's balm remover which she launched with the eyeliner because I didn't want to struggle while removing it. Applying wise, it applies very nicely, doesn't smudge throughout the day and definitely is waterproof which I like about eyeliners. However, the pencil side is what disappointed me because the minute I opened it, the pencil broke and fell out. Not only did it make so much mess but also I had a tiny piece left to try out. This has also fell out after trying to apply on the eye. I think I would prefer a normal pencil eyeliner rather than this combination as the pencil breaks easily being placed in a dual-ended tube. I would definitely recommend to be extra careful when opening the pencil side because it breaks very easily and can be disappointing!

PS. Swatching with a broken pencil liner is a nightmare, so please don't judge my swatches above. The rest of the product fell out as I was trying to swatch it and it's completely empty.

I enjoyed using this makeup balm remover, it's very gentle for the skin and also comes in the smallest yet cutest packing ever. The balm is currently on sale for £6/$8 which is an okay price for the product seeing as you need it to use her other product - the Life Liner. This makeup remover balm has a transformational formula that takes it from a balm to an oil texture upon contact with the warmth of the skin to melt and dissolve any makeup off your face. It contains Cherry Blossom extract, leaving your skin feeling super cleansed and refreshed!

Final Thoughts
Out of the two, I definitely find the mascara to be something everyone should try out because it's a very good mascara! It's not waterproof yet doesn't smudge and is easy to remove. It makes my eyes look fuller and sexy and I love it! The eyeliner however, is a pass for me because I don't think it's necessary to have in your collection. I find my KVD Tattoo eyeliner to be super black, waterproof yet much easier to remove than this liquid eyeliner and for this reason I don't think Huda's liner is a must-have.

What are your opinions on the Huda mascara and life liner? Which of the two would you buy? Let me know down in the comments! xo

  7. Hudas products releases have been disappointing this year. I think she should focus more on her releases and only put out products with amazing top quality which obviously this eyeliner isnt

  8. I've never heard of a mascara with two brushes before, that sounds like such a cool idea. I think I'm at the point of needing to replace mine, so this sounds like a really good recommendation! Thank you!
