Testing Kylie Skin Foaming Face Wash & Vanilla Milk Toner - 6 Weeks Update

Hi, dolls!
You can read my 2 week update of using Kylie Skin by clicking HERE.
As promised, I'm coming back with a 6-week update on Kylie Skin and the two products that I have been testing - the Foaming Face Wash and the Vanilla Milk Toner. If you're interested to see my thoughts of these products after testing them for more than 6 weeks now, let's get right into the review!

Kylie Skin was released in 2019 by Kylie Jenner with 7 essential products for your skincare routine - makeup wipes, cleanser, toner, eye cream, moisturiser, exfoliator and serum. I always wanted to try it out however, ordering from US to UK is a nightmare as you have to pay ridiculous amounts of customs and Kylie Skin doesn't even offer free international shipping after you spend a certain amount of money. I was super excited when Kylie Skin was launched across Europe in Douglas because I travel to Europe a lot to visit family back home, so I was finally able to grab it in store myself. When asking the store assistants about Kylie Skin I was told that it's a very basic skincare line which doesn't necessary target any skin issues and is aimed at teenagers and young adults. I went to Douglas with the intention of getting the Vanilla Milk Toner but it kept being sold out in store and each time I have asked about it, the store assistants kept offering other 'better' toners in their opinions that would do much better job for my skin than Kylie. I found this weird because it felt to me as if I'm being recommended to NOT buy Kylie Skin. However, as I really wanted to try her line, I ended up ordering the two online, I also wanted to try out the moisturiser but it was sold out both in store and online.

Every Kylie Skin product is free of parabens, sulfates, and gluten. They're also all vegancruelty-free and dermatologist-tested.

Kylie Skin Foaming Face Wash is infused with ultra-nourishing kiwi seed oil, packed with Vitamin C and E to help maintain moisture and improve elasticity. This gentle formula cleanses skin by helping to remove dirt, oil and makeup for a fresh, bright complexion. It comes in 149 ml/5 fl oz. Use it in your morning and night skincare routine. Apply it to wet skin and gently massage in circular motions. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Avoid storing the product in direct light.

My Thoughts:
I wasn't planning to purchase this product and only bought it because the moisturiser was sold out but I'm so glad I did! This product became my favourite face wash that I have ever used, it's super gentle for my skin and definitely leaves my face looking super fresh and bright. I will be definitely repurchasing this product once it finishes, but after almost 6 weeks of using it, there is still 1/4 of it left. I also like its soft scent, I can almost smell the kiwi but the fragrance is so minimal in this that it did not break my skin out.

Key Features:

  • Glycerin: A humectant that helps balance the moisture in your skin. If your skin is dry, it will draw in moisture and if your skin is oily, it will help decrease the oily appearance of your skin
  • Mild, gentle cleansing ingredients: Derived from coconut. Gentle & effective
  • Kiwi Seed Oil: An antioxidant. Kiwi seed oil is a rich source of Vitamin C & E that helps hydrate and brighten skin
  • Lightly Fragranced
Ingredients:
Water/Aqua/Eau, Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Potassium Cocoate, Glycerin, Hydroxyacetophenone, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Citric Acid, Polyquaternium-39, Fragrance (Parfum), Sodium Benzoate, Actinidia Chinensis (Kiwi) Seed Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Phenoxyethanol

Kylie Skin Vanilla Milk toner is a described as gentle, alcohol-free facial toner which helps to replenish the look and feel of your skin. It's formulated with avocado oil, kiwi seed oil and apple extract to help soothe, tone and restore natural hydration. This toner helps unclog, purify and minimise the appearance of pores. It comes in 236ml/8 fl oz. Use it in your morning and night skincare routine. After cleaning the skin with the foaming face wash, squeeze a small amount onto a cotton pad and sweep across skin.

My Thoughts:
Firstly, I always wanted to try out this product because it's alcohol-free and that's super important for me when it comes to face toners. Secondly, I love the toner's scent - it's a vanilla milk toner but it smells more like a coconut. My skin is super sensitive, so I was worried to use a product that has fragrance in its ingredients, however there has been no irritation or breakouts or bad reaction to it. However, it's definitely an okay toner and not one you need. I wasn't as happy with it as I was with the Foaming Face Wash and if I'm being honest, I'm not sure if I'll be repurchasing this toner, at least not for now.

Final Thoughts
I was super shocked to see so many negative reviews that Kylie Skin has received over the past year because my experience with their face products has been super positive. I have a very sensitive skin and none of their products broke my skin out or irritated me in any way. I do agree with the statement that Kylie Skin range is a very basic skincare range, targeted at teenagers and young adults and not so much at different skincare concerns, but I did enjoy using her products. Although I was more excited to grab the Vanilla Milk Toner, I ended up loving the Foaming Face Wash way more and that is definitely one product from Kylie Skin I will be repurchasing once it launches in the UK (2 more weeks!) I will be also looking into testing her other products because I truly enjoyed using her products. The toner is definitely not a must-have but I think if you do get it, you won't hate it. On the other hand, the foaming face wash is super worth it!

I hope you have enjoyed this post, let me know down in the comments which Kylie Skin product you would love to try out? Have you tried any yet?!

  2. Its a shame the toner didn't live up to expectations. I've never tried any of the Kylie Skin range before.

  3. I'm glad the products didn't irritate your skin! That's always my first fear when it comes to trying new brands. I've never tried Kylie Skin before but it sounds like it's worth the try ☺️

  5. I think the bag issue with Kylie skin is that the formulas are too basic for the price. None of the products really target anything or help with skin health in terms of ingredient quality, and the cost doesn't reflect that, especially as it's really meant for teens. I'm glad you enjoyed the cleanser, but foaming and fragranced are two big nos for me. x

    1. I definitely agree - you pay for the name rather than the good ingredients! I was worried about the fragrance in those products because my skin is super sensitive but it didn't have any bad reaction, so maybe it's worth trying it out, however I totally understand! xo

    1. That's my concern pretty much all the time but I tend to review a lot of skin care products but still try to be careful with what type of products I use! xo

  7. Okay I have not tried any of Kylie's products - and I feel so bad because I didn't even know that she had done this! But your review is pretty positive, so that's great! I always worry when trying new products in case they annoy my skin, but this definitely sounds like something that I should try as I also have sensitive skin - thank you for sharing, amazing post!

    1. Thank you - it's definitely not a bad skincare range, I just wish it targeted more skin care concerns rather than being so simple and basic xo

  11. It seems like she put a lot of thought into the product, and I'm glad to hear you have a positive experience with it. I may try it down the line, but at the moment, I have a pretty good skincare routine that I don't want to break away from. Glad to hear it's coming to the UK, as well!

  12. Hey Olivia, this blog post is very interesting to me! I use loads of skincare (toner, moisturizer, masks, night masks, you name it. I've always been drawn to the marketing that Kylie Skin does, but I also have heard criticisms about it. Much of what you mentioned here doesn't really surprise me, though I am now interested in the foaming cleanser! Thanks for sharing!
