Hi, dolls!

In today's blog post, I wanted to review two of the Mini Pastel Obsessions Palettes from Huda Beauty. When Huda first released her pastel palettes, I was super excited and wanted to try them out. The Pastel Mini Palette collection by Huda Beauty was inspired by Huda's latest fashion obsession for pastel colours. Each palette in the collection offers versatile looks from subtle to vivid and colourful! I decided to go for the Lilac palette and I was also lucky enough to win the Mint palette from a giveaway hosted by Alyssa.

I know Alyssa not only for her authentic giveaways but also for her beautiful voice. I recommend you all to check her instagram @alyssagalarza where she always has these amazing giveaways, but also check out and stream her newest song Salty because her voice is sooo good!

Huda Beauty Pastel Lilac Mini Obsession Palette
£23/$29

Each Huda Beauty pastel is packed with a selection of highly pigmented matte shades, metallic jellies and next-generation shimmer swirls, all in smooth and blendable textures. Pastel Lilac Obsession palette is a seductive series of dusty mauve mattes, lavender shimmers, pops of luxurious fizzy violet, a velvety apricot matte and a pop of soft coral shimmer, all designed to complement each other and add divine dimension to the lids.

I ordered the Lilac palette because my collection lacked purple tones. When the palette arrived and I started swatching it, I have to be honest and say that I was underwhelmed. Usually, I am used to all Huda's mini palettes to be super pigmented and this palette to me lacks that extra pigmentation that her other palettes have. I know that this is a pastel palette therefore the pigmentation is lighter but I honestly expected a little bit more. I decided to give up this palette to a friend of mine who will have more use out of this palette because I didn't really enjoy using it.

Huda Beauty Pastel Mint Mini Obsession Palette
£23/$29

Each Huda Beauty pastel is packed with a selection of highly pigmented matte shades, metallic jellies and next-generation shimmer swirls, all in smooth and blendable textures. Mint Obsession palette is an unusual balance of warm and cool tones, this palette indulges your lids in soft mint and apple green mattes, pistachio, teal and icy aqua shimmers, a touch of honey bronze shimmer and a rich tan matte.

After not the best experience with the Lilac pastel palette, I was lucky enough to win Alyssa's give-away and was gifted the Mint pastel palette. I immediately swatched it and found this palette to perform much nicer than the Lilac. The Mint palette is much more unique because of its colour and although I don't create mint looks often, it's definitely a palette I want to keep in my collection for times when I'm feeling more creative. I really loved the shimmer shades in this palette because I can use them without necessarily using the mattes and also because they're so light, I can use them as a highlight for my face.

Final Thoughts
Every time Huda Beauty has a new launch, I get super excited and want to try it out. When Huda released their pastel collection, I really wanted to check it out because the palettes are very unique and stand out from your everyday palettes. However, comparing these Pastel obsessions to her other mini obsession palettes, I was quite disappointed. The pigment just seems to not be there and yes, fair enough these are pastel palettes but I still feel like the amazing Huda's palette quality which I'm used to and love, lacks from these palettes. I do however really enjoy the shimmer shades, especially in the Mint palette and love to use them as a highlight too. Out of the two, I definitely prefer the Mint palette because it's more unique and these shimmers really do stand out and can be used as toppers for other looks too. I think these palettes are fun to have and try out for pastel looks but I definitely prefer the quality and pigmentation of her other mini palettes.

Let me know what you think about the Pastel Obsession palettes from Huda and which out of the two is your favourite! Stay tuned for my next blog post, coming soon xo

Hi, dolls!

In today's blog post, I wanted to review the new Makeup Revolution Shimmer Bomb Mini Gloss collection. Recently, Makeup Revolution released their Shimmer Bomb glosses, which is a sparkly upgrade from their Pout Bomb glosses. They added a collection of 3 mini Shimmer Bomb glosses which is the perfect idea for a gift for someone else or even yourself. When I first looked at the glosses, they reminded me of my High Gloss from Kylie Cosmetics and I was very interested to try it out and see if maybe it will be the perfect dupe for it. Let's get right into the review!

Shimmer Bomb Mini Collection
£10/$12

These handbag sized glosses (each is 1.8ml/0.063 fl oz.) will load your lips up with a shimmery, sheer formulation. Each gloss is infused with Vitamin E for extra nourishment for the lips and has a sponge-tip applicator. All glosses are cruelty-free. The collection includes 3 mini super shimmery glosses in the shades:

Light Beam - Sheer Silver Shimmer
Starlight - Sheer Golden Shimmer
Glimmer - Rose Gold

First of all, these mini glosses are super cute, I kind of expected it to be a little bit bigger but the size is still good considering it's meant to be mini. They apply amazingly on the lips and are very lightweight, so you can barely feel them on your lips during the day. They are very pigmented and super shimmery. Honestly, I think this is the perfect dupe for Kylie's High Glosses and to be honest I'm very happy that I found these as they're just as good as Kylie's for much smaller price. Also, I have to mention their amazing smell - they have this beautiful scent of a watermelon which reminds me of my favourite chewing gums lol! They look so pretty and smell so yummy and there's nothing else you can ask for!

This mini sets costs £10/$14 which works out around £3.50/$4.50 for each mini gloss, and the original sized Shimmer Bomb gloss costs only £5/$7! which to me is just mind-blowing because they are the same great quality and similar formulation to the Kylie Cosmetic's High Gloss which costs $16/£12. I am definitely planning to check out their Pout Glosses as well but I usually prefer my glosses to have some shimmer in it, so these Shimmer Bomb glosses are just perfect for me. I really recommend you all to check these out if you're a gloss person because it might just be the cheapest but the best glosses I have ever used and tried in my life!

Let me know down in the comments what you think about the Shimmer Bomb glosses from Revolution. Which shade is your favourite? I love them all but my favourite has to be the clear shimmer gloss in Light Beam xo

Hi, dolls!

In today's post, I'm coming back with another Makeup Revolution Mystery Bag. This time round when you spend £35/$45 on full price products on Revolution's website, you receive their mystery bag worth £30/$37. I have to admit that I don't really care for brands mystery bags but I love the Revolution ones. I know that you guys really enjoy posts on their mystery bags, and if you haven't already, check out my previous posts revealing what their previous bags included:

Revolution Mystery Bag June 2018
Revolution Mystery Bag August 2018
Revolution Mystery Bag March 2019
Revolution Mystery Bag May 2019
Revolution Mystery Bag July 2019

Makeup Revolution's mystery bag in June 2020 includes

- I heart Revolution Golden Bar Eyeshadow Palette (£9/$11)
- I heart Revolution Unicorn Pigment Palette (£4/$5)
- Jelly Highlighter in Monumental (£6/$7)
- Revolution Pro Lipstick in Venture (£5/$6)
- Revolution Pro Stippling Brush (£7/$8)

I'm very impressed with this mystery bag! All of the products are full-priced on Revolution's website, so they didn't just throw random sale bits to get rid of, which I appreciate. Also, I love that their mixed products from all sister-brands, as there's two I heart revolution products, one Revolution and two Revolution Pro. My favourite thing about Revolution's mystery bags are that they are free because you spend a certain amount on products you buy separately, so their mystery bag is free products added to your order. Other brands usually charge for their mystery bags, whereas this idea is much nicer for the customers!

Let me know down in the comments if you ever got any of the Makeup Revolution mystery bags and which product from the mystery bag is your favourite? Stay tuned for my next blog post coming soon xo
