Hi, dolls!
In today's blog post, I wanted to do a brand review focusing on Mario Badescu and their skincare products. I was surprised to find out that many people tend to not have the best experience with this brand because most of the time I have had a good experience using Mario's skincare products. If you're interested to learn more about the products I have tested, let's get right into the review!

Mario Badescu Facial Sprays
Available in 236ml (£11/$14), 118ml (£7/$9) & 59ml (£5/$7)

Let's begin with the well-know facials sprays. Mario Badescu's facial sprays are classic amongst MUAs and influencers alike and have over 1K customer reviews between them. Hydrating face mists are packed with vitamins and antioxidants work their magic by delivering ingredients to your skin quickly and easily, which helps you to treat your major skin concerns. There are currently 4 different types/scents of these facial sprays:

 Source
 Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater
Best for: Dry/dehydrated skin
This facial spray lightly refreshes skin whilst boosting hydration and relieving dehydrated, tight complexions. Mist it over your moisturiser for a hydration boost or use it to set your makeup.

 Source
Aloe, Chamomile and Lavender
Best for: Dull skin
This facial spray is Vitamin C infused suitable for all skin types. Light and delicately fragranced, spritz over moisturiser, makeup or bare skin throughout the day for an instant hydration boost.

 Source
Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea
Best for: Breakout-prone skin
This facial spray is perfect for waking up dull, tired skin. You can mist over your face before moisturising or throughout the day after makeup, for a quick antioxidant boost.

 Source
Aloe, Sage and Orange Blossom
This 4th facial spray is the newest addition to the Mario collection. It instantly boosts and relieves dull, lacklustre complexions. This floral-scented spray can be used alone or over makeup as it helps to improve skin's clarity, restore balance and reveal a dewy finish.

I personally really love Mario's facial sprays and the two I truly am obsessed with are the Aloe, Cucumber & Green Tea and Aloe, Sage and Orange Blossom. They add so much hydration to my skin and I love to spray it onto my skin before I apply makeup. There are 4 different scents which target 4 different skin concerns which is also great because everyone can find something that will work for them.

Mario Badescu Aloe Vera Toner
Available in 472ml (£14/$18)
Available in 236ml (£23/$30)

Aloe Vera toner has a fragrance and alcohol-free formula that helps sweep away impurities. It's to be used twice daily, sweep over cleansed skin to boost and re-balance the complexion. It's suitable for sensitive skin. I decided to give this toner a go because I have a sensitive skin that needed an alcohol-free toner. However, I found this toner to feel heavy for my skin and it caused irritation, so I decided to stop using it. I think that for its price point, there are definitely better toners out there for you guys to try out. However, just because a product didn't work for me, doesn't necessarily mean it won't work for you!

Mario Badescu Olive Eye Cream 14g
£16/$21

Mario's Olive Eye cream is a highly concentrated eye cream to leave your eye area hydrated, smooth and soft. It's formulated with a nourishing blend of olive oil and cocoa butter, the cream is intensely moisturising and hydrating. It is suitable for all skin types, and this rich cream is ideal for nightly use. It smooths fine lines whilst leaving the delicate eye area feeling super soft.
When I first applied this eye cream, it felt to me like vaseline, which made my under eyes  feel super hydrated and soft. You don't need much of this eye cream to hydrate your whole eye area meaning it will last you for a long time. I really enjoyed using this eye cream and I had no bad skin reaction to it.

Final Thoughts
I was shocked to hear that many people have or had a bad experience with Mario because I truly always enjoyed their products. The Aloe Vera toner was a miss for me but Mario's other products did a great job for my skin. My favourites from Mario have to be their facial sprays because I've been using them for years and they always leave my face to feel super hydrated and soft. If you haven't tried anything from Mario, I would definitely recommend trying out their facial sprays because they are honestly amazing!

Let me know if you have tried Mario's products before and what is your favourite?

Hi, dolls!
After a small break, I'm coming back to you with another skincare review. This time, I will be reviewing two Kylie Skin products that I was able to get my hands on and test for 2 weeks. I will do a 4/8 week update also because that is how long you should test skincare products for. The two Kylie Skin products I decided to purchase from Douglas were the Foaming Face Wash and the Vanilla Milk Toner. Last week, I was finally allowed to travel to Europe to visit family back home and thanks to Douglas (which is available almost everywhere in Europe except UK) I could purchase the two without having to pay customs. If you're interested to read about my experience with these two products after using them fully for 2 weeks, let's get right into it!
PS. I have previously reviewed Kylie Skin Summer Collection which you can read HERE.

Kylie Skin was released in 2019 by Kylie Jenner with 7 essential products for your skincare routine - makeup wipes, cleanser, toner, eye cream, moisturiser, exfoliator and serum. I always wanted to try it out however, ordering from US to UK is a nightmare as you have to pay ridiculous amounts of customs and Kylie Skin doesn't even offer free international shipping after you spend a certain amount of money. I was super excited when Kylie Skin was launched across Europe in Douglas because I travel to Europe a lot to visit family back home, so I was finally able to grab it in store myself. When asking the store assistants about Kylie Skin I was told that it's a very basic skincare line which doesn't necessary target any skin issues and is aimed at teenagers and young adults. I went to Douglas with the intention of getting the Vanilla Milk Toner but it kept being sold out in store and each time I have asked about it, the store assistants kept offering other 'better' toners in their opinions that would do much better job for my skin than Kylie. I found this weird because it felt to me as if I'm being recommended to NOT buy Kylie Skin. However, as I really wanted to try her line, I ended up ordering the two online, I also wanted to try out the moisturiser but it was sold out both in store and online.

Every Kylie Skin product is free of parabens, sulfates, and gluten. They're also all vegan, cruelty-free and dermatologist-tested.

Kylie Skin Foaming Face Wash 149ml
$24/£18

Kylie Skin Foaming Face Wash is infused with ultra-nourishing kiwi seed oil, packed with Vitamin C and E to help maintain moisture and improve elasticity. This gentle formula cleanses skin by helping to remove dirt, oil and makeup for a fresh, bright complexion. It comes in 149 ml/5 fl oz. Use it in your morning and night skincare routine. Apply it to wet skin and gently massage in circular motions. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Avoid storing the product in direct light.

My Thoughts:
I wasn't really planning to get this foaming face wash as I love my Cetaphil cleanser, however I decided to get it and test it along with the Toner because the moisturiser was out of stock. I definitely don't regret buying it! You only need one pump of it (max two) to wash your entire face. While it doesn't take off strong, stubborn makeup like mascara, it works great as a second cleanser in your skincare routine. I use it every morning and night and I find it to leave my skin feeling super fresh and clean. For the two weeks that I have been testing it, my sensitive skin hasn't had any bad reaction to it. I was worried that its ingredients won't work great with my skin as it's super sensitive and the face wash is lightly fragranced but so far, I have only had positive experience with this product. I will definitely check in with you guys after 4/8 weeks of using this face wash to let you know my full experience with it!

  • Kiwi Seed Oil: An antioxidant. Kiwi seed oil is a rich source of Vitamin C & E that helps hydrate and brighten skin
  • Lightly Fragranced

Kylie Skin Vanilla Milk Toner 236ml
$22/£17

Kylie Skin Vanilla Milk toner is a described as gentle, alcohol-free facial toner which helps to replenish the look and feel of your skin. It's formulated with avocado oil, kiwi seed oil and apple extract to help soothe, tone and restore natural hydration. This toner helps unclog, purify and minimise the appearance of pores. It comes in 236ml/8 fl oz. Use it in your morning and night skincare routine. After cleaning the skin with the foaming face wash, squeeze a small amount onto a cotton pad and sweep across skin.

My Thoughts:
This has to be the only Kylie Skin product that I was super excited to try and get from the beginning. I haven't really tried a milk toner before this one, so it definitely was a bit weird but I really did like using it. It feels more like a lightweight moisturiser rather than a traditional toner - it leaves my skin very hydrated. Although it's called Vanilla Milk toner, you can smell a mix of coconut and vanilla. As someone who has sensitive skin, using fragrance in my skincare products can be risky because it can very easily irritate my skin but it hasn't happened yet with this product, so fingers crossed it doesn't! This toner is also alcohol-free which is a big plus because applying alcohol straight onto your face can speed up the ageing progress which we want to avoid!

Final Thoughts
Before I can give my full review on these two Kylie Skin products, I want to carry on testing them for another 2 to 4 weeks. However, so far I have been having a good experience with them because my sensitive skin hasn't had any bad reaction to it. I would label Kylie Skin as a basic skincare line as it doesn't really target specific skincare concerns and is aimed more at everybody, mostly teenagers and young adults who are just starting their skincare routines. However, it doesn't make the products bad - it just means it doesn't do anything great for your skin as it doesn't target anything in particular. My skin has definitely been feeling much hydrated after using the Vanilla Milk toner and fresh after the Foaming Face Wash, so I am just excited to carry on testing these products for 2 to 4 weeks more to see real results.

I hope you have enjoyed this post, let me know down in the comments which Kylie Skin product you would love to try out? Have you tried any yet?!

Kayali Deja Vu White Flower | 57
50ml £67/$88

Kayali means my imagination in Arabic and it was created by both Huda and Mona Kattan, who in fact is known as the Perfume Princess. I honestly think that if we're going to trust anyone when it comes to fragrance, it should be Mona. If you follow her on social media, you must know how big her perfume collection is and also, her perfume knowledge. I knew Kayali would be amazing from the start and it definitely didn't disappoint. Kayali's tagline is every layer of me and it actually focuses on layering fragrances to create your own, personal scent.

Top Notes: Gardenia, Nectarine, Pear
Middle Notes: Tuberose, Indian Jasmine, Orange Blossom
Base Notes: Patchouli, Tahitian Vanilla, Sandalwood, Cashmere Wood

Déjà vu White Flower is described as a seductive, yet warm and comforting scent that is steeped in nostalgia and reminiscent of that memory of falling in love yet also laying the foundations for new exciting memories to come; memories that you can revisit with every spritz. Evoking the dreamy spirit of nostalgia, the warm and sultry scent is a fresh, bouquet of white florals. Déjà vu White Flower | 57 combines aromatic sandalwood and fruity notes of white nectarine and orange flower, creating a sensual scent that truly seduces the senses. The notes of jasmine, tuberose, patchouli and gardenia come together in a seductive and unique blend. The number next to the perfume name, in this case the number 57 signifies the number of modifications that it took to get the scent right.

The opening gives me a burst of patchouli and jasmine and just as it's labelled it is a white floral fragrance. It's truly a beautiful scent, and although I am obsessed with my Vanilla, I'm starting to love Déjà vu just as much! While I found Elixir to be a night-out fragrance, Déjà vu White Flower is definitely something you can wear on a daily basis or a night out because the scent is super beautiful. The scent is heavy in a sense that you don't need loads of it to smell it - it is an Eau de Parfum after all. Eau de Parfum has the highest concentration of fragrance - generally having a fragrance concentration of between 15% and 20%. On average, eau de Parfum should last from four to five hours, if not more. This differs from Eau de Toilette which has a fragrance concentration of between 5% and 15%. Eau de Toilette is definitely one of the most popular types of fragrance and it is definitely cheaper than eau de Parfum (in case some of you were wondering why Kayali's price is high) but it will normally only last for two to three hours.

I also have to talk about the bottle of this fragrance - it looks so elegant and classy. I love how beautiful the packaging looks and the diamond cap makes it even more unique. On many occasions you get an expensive fragrance in simple packaging but with Kayali you not only get a high quality of fragrance but also a stunning packaging that makes it even more exciting to have. I appreciate the fact that it's possible to get the Kayali testers before actually making a purchase, although not every shop will have them, because that makes it easier for you to find your perfect scent. This is especially important if you cannot afford to buy all 5 and want to ensure you make the right decision. Testers can also help with layering, as it allows you to try different layers and see which scents would work together for you to create your perfect scent. Sadly, I didn't know the Kayali testers were a thing until I visited the Huda Beauty pop up and was gifted one, and when I looked online to see if I could maybe get more, people were selling it for crazy amount of money.

Final Thoughts
I fell in love with Kayali when I first tried their fragrances and so far, I love them all! Deja Vu is definitely a lovely addition to my collection being so far the most worn fragrance from Kayali by me. It's one you can wear everyday or for any special occasion because it's so unique and beautiful. This is the one Kayali fragrance I would say is the safest to blind buy for anyone as I think everyone would enjoy it!

Let me know in the comments if you have tried any of the Kayali fragrances and if so, which is your favourite? Check out my other Kayali reviews linked above! xo

Hi, dolls!
In today's post, I wanted to review the Tantour contour & bronzer from Huda Beauty. Huda launched a luxurious cream-to-powder contour and bronzer in one and I immediately knew I needed to try it out. Personally, when it comes to bronzer or contour, I prefer to go for powder, but I was interested to see how this cream-to-powder will work for me. If you are interested to find out more about Tantour, let's get right into the review!

Huda Beauty Tantour
£22/$30
(Available in Fair, Light, Medium, Tan and Rich)

Tantour combines a balance of shadow and warmth for a luminous, matte glow that's never dull. It blends seamlessly and has a long-lasting formula which is both water and sweat resistant. This deeply pigmented cream-to-powder bronzer gives you a natural bronzed look or a dramatic contour as you layer and build the product on your face.

As already mentioned, I prefer using powder when it comes to contouring or bronzing my face but I still decided to try and test out this cream product. I have to be honest and say that it's one of the best cream contour/bronzer products I have tried and the fact that it's 2 in 1 makes it much better to use. I love how creamy the formula of this product is and how easy it blends on my face, still leaving you with this matte glow. I use Tantour in the shade FAIR and it blends so well onto my skin, matching my skin tone perfectly well. It's important to add that Tantour comes in 5 different shades, so different skin tones can find their best match.

Huda's tips on how to use Tantour:
1. Using a brush, apply Tantour in dots along the contours of each side of the face: cheek bones, forehead, and jawline.
2. With the fluffy side of the brush or a beauty sponge, blend well for an all-over healthy finish. You can build to desired intensity.
Huda’s tips: Use the brush in circular upward motions for a flawless finish. If you’re aiming for a subtle glow or soft contour, experiment with something a bit lighter. For a more dramatic effect, try something a bit deeper!

Final Thoughts
Overall, I believe that this is a great cream contour/bronzer and those of you that prefer cream contour will definitely love Tantour. I even think that Tantour will work perfectly well for beginners and those of you who are starting to experiment with contouring your face because it blends super easily and it will make your contouring/bronzing experience much more enjoyable. I recommend all of you to try this product as it's at a decent price point and you get a fair amount of product inside (11grams).

Let me know what you think about Tantour and if you have tried it yet! What's your favourite bronzer/contour products at the moment? Let me know down in the comments xo
