Typology Paris Skincare Range Review

Happy Sunday dolls!
Today I wanted to share with you some skincare goodies I have received a while ago from Typology Paris. If you're interested to find out more, let's get right into the review!

This post may contain gifted items meaning I received these beauty products for free from the brand to try and test out. However, my reviews/opinions on products are always 100% honest and I'll only recommend items that I love!

Typology's founder Ning Li wanted to create a radical new skincare brand. Their formulas are simple, considered and effective. Provenance is important to the brand, so we - the consumers - will always know where their ingredients come from. All formulations are 100% French and their products are cruelty-free.

Typology has an amazing Diagnostic Test on their website which helps you understand your skin and lets you know which of their products are recommended to help you with your skin concerns. After completing my test, the team was kind enough to gift me products their site has recommended for my skin. These include their Purifying Cleansing Bar with nettle, Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, Organic Peppermint Hydrolate, Organic Jojoba Botanical Oil, Moisturiser and Micellar Water. It all came packed in the cutest recycled cotton pouch. Now let's get into each of these products individually!

Typology's micellar water has a minimalist, fragrance-free formula which is suitable even for sensitive skin. It has been dermatologically tested and is 96% naturally-derived. This micellar water is actually one of my favourites, it doesn't take a lot of the product to remove all of my makeup. Although it's fragrance-free, it does have a tiny scent to it which is very pleasant.

This cleansing bar is an oil-regulating face and body soap with 8% fatty acids. It's handcrafted in Paris and 100% naturally-derived. I really love using this cleansing bar - it's great for my sensitive skin. Not only does it smells very natural and nice but also leaves my skin feeling super fresh and clean.

This minimalist, fragrance-free moisturiser has a lightweight, non-greasy texture. It's also dermatologically tested, 99% naturally-derived and suitable for sensitive. I find this moisturiser to be very light and you only need a tiny bit of the product for the entire face. It's hydrating but has a typical scent not everyone might enjoy - it takes some time to get used to it.

This product is an active-rich serum to restore radiance to dull and tired skin. It's 85% naturally-derived.  This serum sinks into the skin well and helps to bring out a noticeable glow to the face after each use. It's suitable for all skin types.

An active-rich serum created to rehydrate and plump parched skin. It's 94% naturally-derived. Sadly, I haven't noticed any differences to my skin after using this product. It's probably the only product from the range I'm not very impressed with.

Typology's Organic Jojoba Botanical Oil regulates sebum production and protects the skin. It's a cold-pressed oil from organically-grown jojoba seeds. 100% pure and 100% naturally-derived. This has been a great addition to my current skincare routine. It's a great oil which absorbs quickly and has a pleasant scent added to it.

Typology's Organic Peppermint Hydrolate purifies and cleanses the skin, while tightening enlarge pores. Hydrolate obtained by steam distillation of organic peppermint leaves. 99% naturally-derived ingredients. I am really not a fan of the scent added to this product - it's very strong and doesn't smell much like peppermint and although I appreciate all the great ingredients added to it, the scent is just too strong for me to use this product. It's a shame because it's a good one.

Final Thoughts
I really enjoyed being able to try products that have been specifically recommended for my skin concerns. I really liked adding them to my skincare routine and trying out. My top 3 products which I see myself repurchasing are the Micellar Water, the Cleansing Bar and the Moisturiser. I also have to talk about their packaging - it's so simple but I think its what makes it stand out the most!

I do recommend you checking out Typology's website and even if you're not looking to purchase, still take advantage of their great quiz to know what type of products your skin needs. Once again, thank you to the entire Typology's team for kindly gifting me their products!

What are your thoughts on their skincare products? Have you tried Typology before?

  1. I find it great that the company has a quiz in her site to help you understand the needs of your skin. This shows that the company cares for the potential customer. I liked the bar from your post but I will take the test first. Thank you!

  2. What exactly is micellar water? Or is it just a fancy way of saying make-up remover? I always learn a lot about make-up from your blog, which I wouldn't otherwise wouldn't know about

    1. Micellar water is made using purified water, moisturisers like glycerin, and mild surfactants, which are compounds used for cleansing. Thank you, I’m glad you’re enjoying my posts :)

  9. I love how these products look like they're $1000 each and are actually affordable! I would purchase this for the minimalistic but luxurious packaging alone lol. The products sound good too so I would love to try them once!
