The event took place on Tuesday to celebrate Huda's newest launch - the #FauxFilter concealer. It's a crease-proof, medium to full buildable coverage creamy concealer that brightens, conceals, and moves with you for a luminous matte, skin-like finish that lasts all day. Infused with conditioning sweet almond oil and vitamin E to care for delicate under-eye skin, this versatile concealer has a lightweight, blendable formula that melts into skin but doesn't compromise on coverage or staying power! Huda Beauty has expanded their shade range to 9 new shades, making it super easy to find your perfect match. Throughout the event, Huda's makeup artists were offering shade matching for both, the Faux Filter concealer and foundation as well as the Easy Bake setting powder. My perfect shades are Angel Food in the foundation, Royal Icing in the concealer and Sugar Cookie in the setting powder. I am also looking forward to trying out the new Cherry Blossom setting powder which uses pink pigments to balance undertones in fair to medium complexions for a harmonious, luminous-skin finish. 

One of the main activities at the event was joining Huda in smashing beauty standards. Similarly to their campaign, there was a room where we were able to smash white statues. I have to admit - it was really fun! The whole set up was super beautiful and on theme with the #FauxFilter concealer campaign. 

Throughout the event, we were offered endless mocktails and snacks - my favourite being the Huda Beauty macaroons. All Huda Beauty, Wishful and Kayali products were displayed in various rooms, making it so easy to try them all out. I found myself spending the most time at the Kayali table layering all my favourite scents together! I also had the pleasure to meet so many amazing and talented influencers including Tea (@teaflego) and Sarah (@alltheperfume)

I had to leave the best for the last - being able to meet both, Huda and Mona Kattan in person was definitely the highlight of the evening! I've followed their brand since the early days and they have always been my biggest inspirations when it came to starting my own beauty blog & social media. I've learnt so many fun and great beauty hacks from Huda over the years and Mona has taught me so much about fragrance with her incredible Kayali team. They are honestly the kindest and most gorgeous people I've ever met! 

Mona was sweet enough to let her team share with both Sarah & I the new product she is currently working on for Kayali and all I can say is - you will all love it! I'm super excited to see what's coming next from all the brands but especially Kayali - you guys know how much I love their scents! Check out all my Kayali reviews here

Huda's newest concealer is here! It's a crease-proof, medium to full buildable coverage creamy concealer that brightens, conceals, and moves with you for a luminous matte, skin-like finish that lasts all day. I have previously tried Huda's Overachiever concealer in the shade Whipped Cream, however I have always found it to be too pale for my skin tone. This time, Huda has expanded her shade range to 9 new shades and I finally found my perfect match - Royal Icing 1.1N. You can see above how it swatches comparing to my other favourite concealers.

This new formula is definitely the one for me - I prefer it much more than the Overachiever concealer. Instead of a zamac applicator, the #FauxFilter concealer has a large pillowy soft doe-foot applicator and you have to be careful when pulling it out of the tube, as some product tend to splash around if you do it too quick. However, I still like the old doe-foot applicator when it comes to my complexion products as it helps to apply the concealer exactly where you need it to. This concealer is definitely brightening and great at covering any spots, dark circles and blemishes. I set it with both, Huda Beauty and Laura Mercier setting powders and each time, it didn't crease or move. Similarly to Huda's foundation, it gives a beautiful Faux Filter effect - it's like wearing an instagram filter on your face in real life. 

To help you find your perfect shade, Huda Beauty has created their Ultimate Complexion Shade Matching Guide, which matches their new #FauxFilter concealer with both of their #FauxFilter foundations, GloWish skin tint and their Easy Bake setting powders! I recommend checking it out if you're someone who struggles to pick the right shade online without being able to swatch it in-stores!

If you like medium to full coverage, you will love this concealer! It does everything you need it to do - covers, brightens and conceals. It comes in a great range of shades making it so easy to find your perfect match. You can also grab the darker shades to use for contour - because why not? 

I also wanted to upload a beautiful campaign that Huda and her team have created for this product. It talks about toxic beauty standards and I think it's so important we all watch it and learn from it. I never attach beauty campaigns to my reviews but this has truly touched my soul and I feel like I have to share it with everyone.

I've received my package from Huda Beauty couple days after the reveal and I was really excited to add it to my Wishful skincare routine, especially since most of their products are a staple in my routine (such as the Thirst Trap Serum). I find it to have a nice, lightweight formula which doesn't irritate my sensitive skin - I've been using it twice a day and just like their other products, it's very gentle on the skin. With each use, I instantly feel the hydration this serum adds to my under eye area and I believe it's super important not to forget to apply it onto the upper lid area as well, to keep the whole eye area fully hydrated. For a while now, I've also been obsessed with Matcha as a skincare ingredient as it has a high concentration of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory polyphenols. In this serum, Matcha helps to brighten dark circles and reduces hyperpigmentation which is also something I've noticed after only a couple of uses.   

Matcha - Rich in antioxidants and packed with caffeine (a vasoconstrictor), Matcha helps dilate blood vessels and improve the appearance of dark circles created by poor circulation and blood pooling in this area.

1% Bakuchiol - A gentle, plant-alternative to retinol with rejuvenating properties that help to improve skin's elasticity and slow the breakdown of collagen thereby helping prevent future skin damage and photoaging. 1% is effective enough to deliver all the benefits while still being suitable for sensitive skin.

Peptides - Helps to stimulate collagen, repair and strengthen the skin's barrier while firming and lifting to keep it looking plump and hydrated.

Arabian Jasmine - Known to help reduce the appearance of dark circles, reduce puffiness and keep the eye area looking bright. 

The serum is completed with a cooling zamak applicator to help de-puff and comes with 1 x inserted filled cartridge and 1 x additional refill cartridge. This means the applicator is yours forever - once the product inside is finished, you can recycle the inner cartridge and insert refill. The outer pack is FSC certified and recyclable too. 

This is a great eye serum to add to your routine even if you're just a beginner in skincare. Suitable for all ages and skin types, this is one of not many eye creams/serums that actually DO work. So far, I am really impressed and see myself continuing using it. I'm also very happy the brand decided to make it refillable and easy to recycle. In my opinion, Wishful not only creates great products which target different skincare concerns but all of their products are super gentle, making it a dream for people with sensitive skin like myself.
