After a very long blogging break, I am back! Introducing the newest addition to the Kayali family - Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar | 42. If you're interested to learn all about this fragrance, let's get right into the review!

Welcome to Kayali Candy shop! Inspired by Mona's love for candy and mouthwatering notes, Vanilla Candy celebrates one of the most desired notes in fragrance with its delicious blend of sweet ingredients.
Top Notes: Vanilla, Pear, Marshmallow, Rum, Violet Leaves, Ylang-Ylang
Middle Notes: Bubblegum, Jellybeans, Caramel, Jasmine, Labdanum
Base Notes: Sugar, Tonka, Cashmere Wood, Vetiver, Sandalwood, Patchouli
The fragrance opens with a juicy and refreshing Pear, cosy Vanilla Marshmallow and sweet yet aromatic Rum. Soon after, the sweetness of Bubblegum and Jellybeans appear with a hint of floral notes, quickly drying to a very sugary base with notes of Tonka, Patchouli and Cashmere Wood.
Overall, Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar | 42 is exactly what the name suggest - a very sweet, sugary fragrance and a younger sister to our beloved Vanilla | 28. I like the note of Pear in this scent as it adds that extra juiciness without being overly sweet and the aromatic Rum is good at creating enjoyable balance within this juice. The dry down of Vanilla Candy is what you get when layering Silk Santal from the Wedding collection and Vanilla | 28, which makes me very happy! Silk Santal is one of my favourites from the Kayali collection and sadly a sold out, limited-edition bottle.

Kayali Oudgasm Vanilla Oud | 36 EDP Intense is an enticingly rich fragrance that balances the sublime beauty and comfort of our hero note Vanilla, the warmth and spice of Saffron, the sweetness of Praline and the magic of Oud. This fragrance is vegan-friendly and cruelty-free.

To me, Vanilla Oud | 36 has a very soft and sweet opening due to the Praline and the Saffron in its top notes and soon after, it's followed with the clean and powdery Bulgarian Rose. As soon as it dries down, you get the notes of Vanilla, Musk, Cashmere and of course Oud come forward. It's a warm and sensual scent, a more mature version of Vanilla | 28 because of the Oud addition in the base notes. Out of the entire Oudgasm collection, Vanilla Oud | 36 has the least Oud intensity and it's great to begin your Oud fragrance journey with.
Kayali Oudgasm Cafe Oud | 19 EDP Intense is a sensually electrifying fragrance that combines creamy notes of Cappuccino, a vibrant heart of Rose & Geranium and a woody resinous Oud. This fragrance is vegan-friendly and cruelty-free.
Top Notes: Cappuccino, Mandarin Orange, Bergamot
Middle Notes: Geranium, Rose
Base Notes: Oud, Vanilla, White Musk, Patchouli
Cafe Oud | 19 has a very refreshing opening with the notes of Mandarin Orange and Bergamot and although the Cappuccino is a top note, I actually get it at all times. Soon after, the middle notes of Geranium and Rose are strongly present. As it dries down, the Oud and Vanilla come through but the freshness of the top notes and the creaminess of the Cappuccino note are very much present at all times. If you dislike Coffee and the smell of it, do not be put off this scent as it's rather creamy than strong coffee scent with the addition of refreshing citrusy and floral notes. Cafe Oud | 19 is placed second with its least Oud intensity and great to also begin your Oud fragrance journey with.
Kayali Oudgasm Rose Oud | 16 EDP Intense is an ode to the queen of flowers, the rose. This rare elixir is an opulent blend of iconic notes - sparkling and playful Pear, carnal and rebellious Rose and mysterious Oud. This fragrance is cruelty-free.
Top Notes: Geranium, Lemon, Pear
Middle Notes: Bulgarian Rose, Peony
Base Notes: Oud, Vanilla, Cashmere Wood
Rose Oud | 16 has the second strongest Oud intensity and to me, is very feminine and soft but still Oud fragrance. The opening of this fragrance is very fresh with the notes of Lemon, Pear and followed with the floral heart with notes of Bulgarian Rose and Peony. As it dries down, we get a gorgeous base of creamy Oud and Vanilla notes mixed beautifully well with the Cashmere Wood. Out of the four Oudgasm fragrances, this one is the most romantic and would make a great wedding scent!
Kayali Oudgasm Tobacco Oud | 04 EDP Intense is an enigmatic fragrance that explores the power and opulence of Oud when blended with juicy Mandarin, sweet and honeyed Tobacco and spicy hints of Clove and Saffron. This fragrance is vegan friendly and cruelty-free.
Top Notes: White Honey, Mandarin Orange, Sage, Geranium, Plum
Middle Notes: Saffron, Clove
Base Notes: Tobacco, Praline, Oud, Vanilla, Benzoin, Patchouli
Out of the entire Oudgasm collection, Tobacco Oud | 04 has the strongest Oud intensity and is perfect for all Oud lovers. The opening of this fragrance is bittersweet with the mixture of Honey, Mandarin, Sage, Plum and Geranium and soon after, the spicy warmth of Clove becomes present. As it dries down, it's a stunning, sweet and smoky Tobacco Oud scent and this enchanting combination leaves a long-lasting scent trait wherever you go.
To complete the Oudgasm fragrance layering ritual, Kayali is venturing into the world of perfumed oud wood that complements each of the four EDP Intense fragrances. Also known as Bakhoor, burning these wood chips will help create a beautiful, intense and long-lasting scentscape with its rich, perfumed smoke. Oud wood is also known to relive stress and produce feelings of calmness and serenity, it helps to bring balance to your home environment and self & is said to neutralise negative energy, enhance awareness and evoke feelings of tranquility and relaxation.
Final Thoughts
I think the Oudgasm collection created by Mona Kattan is truly a masterpiece. It introduces us to the intensity, the richness and the beauty of Oud, one of the most expensive ingredients in perfumery, commonly referred to as 'liquid gold' in the industry. It's also a fragrance ingredient that can tell so many stories and I'm so glad Mona decided to create a full collection rather than release one Oud-focused fragrance. The addition of Bakhoor and the perfumed Oud wood has also been very exciting and I am so happy to now own one in my house! Out of the entire collection, Cafe Oud | 19 is my favourite but there isn't one scent I don't enjoy. I reach for different one depending on my mood and the Oud intensity I want to go each day.

Designed as an ode to everlasting love, Mona and Hassan created The Wedding Collection to wear on their special day. Aptly named after the silk gown Mona wore and the velvet suit Hassan wore on their wedding day. The Wedding Silk Santal | 36 and The Wedding Velvet Santal | 35 were inspired by and are bound by the strength of creamy Sandalwood. Also known as Santal, this hero note grounds each scent while also glorifying the unique blend of decadent ingredients found in each bottle. Timeless when worn alone yet amplified when layered together, these scents are made to be shared and celebrate love in all its forms.
Kayali's newest launch Velvet Santal | 35 was created by Hassan Elamin to celebrate their special day and named after the velvet suit he wore. Similarly to Utopia, Invite Only, Vanilla Royale and Yum Pistachio, Velvet Santal | 35 is an Eau De Parfum Intense fragrance containing a super strong concentration of oils. It's crafted with a unique blend of 25% oils that promise a luxuriously rich, long-lasting scent for the ultimate sensorial experience. Fun fact - the number 35 stands for how many modifications it took to make this juice perfect, in this case also matching Hassan's age at the time of their wedding!

Just like the name suggests, Velvet Santal | 35 is creamy, woody and velvety. It's a great new addition to the Kayali collection being their first ever fragrance for men, which can also be seen as unisex. I think Hassan did a great job at creating such a classy scent that immediately allows you to create beautiful memories with. This perfume will get you hooked on its magnetic blend of gentle Jasmine, refreshing Tea and White Musk, accompanied by the velvety warmth of Sandalwood, Cedarwood and Benzoin.

Not only is Silk Santal the most gorgeous and perfect wedding scent for her, it's also an ode to Kayali as a brand. After owning all Kayali scents, as well as following and watching the company grow from their launch day, I can honestly say this fragrance represents the brand very well. It has a refreshing opening with the Sparkling Champagne, Black Currant and silky White Freesia, and soon after you start to smell the Lush Nectarine and Pink Praline that dominate the heart of this romantic fragrance. As it dries down, you get the sweetest and creamy base of Sugared Musk, Vanilla, Sandalwood, Amberwood and Oakmoss.
This fragrance also reminds me of what you would get if you layered Deja Vu White Flower | 57, Vanilla | 28, Musk | 12 and Mod Vanilla by Ariana Grande together - in summary, all of my favourite scents in one bottle together!
Final Thoughts
The Wedding collection by Kayali has taken me by surprise because I truly didn't expect it! It's such a gorgeous collection and knowing both Mona and Hassan created it to celebrate their wedding day makes it so much more special. Although these fragrances were made to be the perfect wedding scents, they can also be worn for any other special occasion or become your new favourite every-day fragrances. While Velvet Santal | 35 is something new to the Kayali range and definitely opens the door for more male fragrances in the future, it's Silk Santal | 36 that has become my favourite out of the two. It's everything I would expect from a Kayali scent - sparkling opening, creamy heart and musky vanilla base. But nothing beats the scent you get when layering these two together - after all, Kayali is all about layering their scents and this duo, although being limited-edition, will steal hearts of many fragrance lovers out there.

Kayali's Deja Vu is the perfect scent for all my loyal, loving and hard-headed Tauruses! It's romantic and very unique just like you - stubborn too because it lasts super long!
Outgoing, funny and communicative Geminis will enjoy a burst of Kayali's Citrus | 08. It's a refreshing scent and not a typical Citrus which makes it more mysterious and fun to explore - similarly to Geminis, with who you don't always know what you're about to get and experience!

Kayali's Musk | 12 is the cleanest scent for the cleanest and most organised sign out there. I know all my Virgos will enjoy this practical scent that can be used as a layering based for any fragrance or on its own.
Kayali's Vanilla | 28 is the most popular fragrance from their range and this fits so well with all my friendly and easy-going Libras. It's impossible to dislike and not get on well with a Libra and same applies to this Kayali juice.

The most intense Kayali scent that turns heads and is very seductive is the perfect juice for the most intense and mysterious sign out there - my lovely Scorpios.
Sagittarius aka the life of the party - there is truly no one as fun, lively and passionate to be around than you. This is exactly why Kayali's Lovefest fragrance is the perfect juice for you which gives out so much joyous energy from just one spray - similarly to what it feels to meet you for the first time.
Is there anyone more direct, hard-working and ambitious than a Capricorn? I don't think so!
