Merry Christmas Everyone!
I hope everyone that celebrates Xmas is having the best time with their families and close ones. I love this time of the year and always look forward to Christmas time, the only thing missing for me this year is the snow. Also, I cannot believe that it's been one year from my first blog post here - you can read it here - and wanted to thank everyone for their constant support! Can't wait to see what the new year will bring for me and my blog!
As we're one day before Boxing Day here in the UK and all the crazy sales that will be starting world-wide, I decided to create an Eyeshadow Palette's recommendation post. I will be talking about some of the palettes that I own and let you know whether or not it would be worth getting it. I will not be mentioning palettes that are no longer on sale because I want this post to be helpful to you all in deciding what to get. I often struggle myself to pick between beauty palettes/items and reach out for other's views on their products to make a final decision, so I hope that at least some of you will find this post helpful.
Eyeshadow Palette Recommendation
Too Faced - Sweet Peach Palette £39
Find my full review on the palette HERE
Pigmentation - 9 out of 10
Fallout - There is fallout with the shimmers
Worth its price - The palette IS worth its price in my opinion
My Comment - If these are the shades you'd use on a daily basis - definitely grab this palette! It's truly amazing and the only bad thing about it can be its high price - otherwise it's great.
Kylie Cosmetics - Royal Peach Palette $45
Find my full review on the palette HERE
Pigmentation - 8 out of 10
Fallout - Yes, it's a common thing with Kylie Cosmetics' palettes
Worth its price - Depends!
My Comment - As much as I love this palette, I think that it lacks a lot of shades that would allow people to create more than only a couple of looks with it. I would recommend it only to those that have other eyeshadow palettes that they can mix and match with because having this palette on its own would be a struggle to create different looks.
Too Faced - The Semi Sweet Palette £39
Find my full review on the palette HERE
Pigmentation - 5 out of 10
Fallout - Yes
Worth its price - No
My Comment - It was my second palette from Too Faced (after the Sweet Peach) and I was truly disappointed. The shadows are barely pigmented and I barely touch it. Yes, it smells amazing and has beautiful shadows, but it's a struggle to play with them because they have little or no pigment at all - PINK SUGAR or BLUEBERRY SWIRL have no pigment at all and what looks beautiful in the pan, looks nothing like it on the eye or when swatched. Would only recommend to those that want a palette with not a lot pigment as they start to experiment with make up but I think for the money is totally not worth it, sorry Too Faced!
Huda Beauty - The Desert Dusk Palette £56/$65
Find my full review on the palette HERE
Pigmentation - 9 out of 10
Fallout - LOADS!
Worth its price - No but would still recommend
My Comment - Here's the thing with Huda's palettes - they are sooo damn expensive but beautiful at the same time. However, the price is way too high for the product, so I have very mixed feelings about it. I love this palette and would recommend it to everyone but I also hate how expensive it is, as I don't think that this palette should be costing this much. It's nothing special that we should be paying for almost £60! Plus, there is loads of fallout when it comes to Huda's products, so before buying be aware of that as many people might hate it.
Kylie Cosmetics - The Burgundy Palette $42
Find my full review on the palette HERE
Pigmentation - 10 out of 10!
Fallout - Only the shimmers
Worth its price - YES!
My Comment - So far, this is the one of the two BIG (aka expensive) palettes that I own that I would 10000% recommend to everyone. I think Kylie Cosmetics did an amazing job with this palette - the pigmentation is out of this world, and the shimmers are so beautiful. Yes, this palette is only for Burgundy vibes but trust me, this is a holy grail. I love this palette so much, and although I tend to go for these looks more in the summer, I grab this palette with me everywhere I go. If you can only get one Kylie palette in your life, this is the one you should go for!
Anastasia Beverly Hills - Soft Glam £43
I still haven't posted my review on this palette but here's a little spoiler, since I already said there were two palettes that I would die for - the Burgundy one by Kylie Cosmetics and this one by ABH!
Pigmentation - 10 out of 10!
Fallout - Minor
Worth its price - YES!
My Comment - I thought there could not be a better palette than the Burgundy one and then I purchased the Soft Glam by ABH! I truly love it so much, I use it everyday now! It has my favourite shades when it comes this time of the year, but the pigmentation and just the quality of this palette is so good! If all palettes by ABH are like this, I want them all! I seriously want to get the Modern Renaissance just because of how good quality this one is. I would definitely recommend this palette to everyone because it's soo good plus it comes with an eyeshadow brush (however, I don't really like it) But if you cannot afford it, don't worry, there are many dupes like the one I will be mentioning below.
Make Up Revolution - Velvet Rose £4
Find my full review on the palette HERE
Pigmentation - 7 out of 10
Fallout - Minor
Worth its price - Yes
My Comment - This is the best dupe I have ever seen in my life. As mentioned above, this palette is an obvious dupe for the Soft Glam by ABH, for those of us that cannot afford the real thing. I got the dupe before getting the actual product, and never thought I had to get the ABH palette, just because of how good the dupe felt to me. However, now that I have the two, I have to be honest and say that the dupe is obviously not as good as the original, but it's still up there! The pigmentation is not as good and blending is not as easy, but for its price, it's truly an amazing product that Revolution has came out with.
Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette £37
Find my full review on the palette HERE
Pigmentation - 8 out of 10
Fallout - Yes
Worth its price - Yes
My Comment - This is the palette that has it all - well almost all. It still lacks the basic light colours all of us pale people need as a base, and I'm sure anyone can complain about this palette lacking something. BUT, this palette hits almost on all colours and having it makes my life so much better. If you can spend money on a quality palette that will give you loads of option for your looks - this is the one. It not only will last you forever, but will also give you infinity choices of what looks to create. Plus, the pigmentation is so much better in this palette than in any regular Morphe ones, hence the price is more than usual.
Revolution x Tammi - Tropical Paradise Palette £10
Find my full review on the palette HERE
Pigmentation - 9 out of 10
Fallout - No
Worth its price - Yes
My Comment - I was so surprised to find out that this palette, unlike other Revolution palettes, has barely any fallout. I think Tammi did an incredible job creating this beautiful palette that all looks done will look good on all skin tones. Definitely check out this palette by Revolution, as it gives a lot of colour choices for many different looks and is affordable!
BH Cosmetics x Shaaanxo - The Remix Palette £18
Find my full review on the palette HERE
Pigmentation - 8
Fallout - Only shimmers
Worth its price - Yes
My Comment - If you're somebody that has a limited amount of money that they can spend on makeup but also want a palette that will give them the 'bronze' vibe as well as the 'burgundy' one, this is the one perfect palette for you. This two-side palette that was created by Shaaanxo and BH Cosmetics is created for those - like me - that can never decide what look to go for, but want to keep it small and not cary 192942932 palettes with them. I think it is a great palette to own, especially when travelling. The pigmentation is also very good and there is only minor fallout with the shimmers, which is a typical thing.
Make Up Revolution x Soph £10
Find my full review on the palette HERE
Pigmentation - 9
Fallout - Minor
Worth its price - Yes
My Comment - I am a big fan of Sophdoesnails, so I knew that this palette would not disappoint me. However, I didn't expect it to be this good. I truly love this palette and have been using it everyday in the summer. The pigmentation is sooo good for its price, because no one would ever think that a palette that costs £10 would be of such high quality. Revolution and Soph did an amazing job and I think everyone should get this palette and give it a go. This palette definitely taught me one thing in beauty - just because it is cheap, doesn't mean it's bad!

I hope that at least some of you will find this post helpful when deciding what palette to get. I know that this post doesn't cover all the eyeshadows that are out at the moment but I wanted to focus on those that I have (and are still available to buy) and have used many times to give a proper view on it.
